Scrap Africa Challenge 24 - Snowflakes, Glitter and Masking.

Wow welcome to December. I have been a terrible blogger these days but life has just been super chaotic. I have barely had any chance to step foot into my scrap room and probably won't until after Christmas when we return from our holidays. Since writing this post we have since set out on a 3 day road trip to Darwin. I love road trips and haven't traveled the roads that way since i was a teenager. My partner has never set foot into the NT at all so it will be a good experience for him lol. So expect plenty of photos when i get back and very little of me for now.

So with that said it brings us to another challenge over at Scrap Africa.  The challenge this month is snowflakes, glitter and masking. I must admit i am not a really big fan of glitter and snowflakes. Glitter because it can be super messy and snowflakes well because it really never gets that cold here. But i loved the challenge.

I had lots of fun using my water colour pencils and my honeycomb stencil to start, and then i used a Prima mask with texture paste. At this point i sprayed several mists all over and once dry began to build up my page. You cant see it too well but the snowflakes all have glitter on them and the title does too. The photo is of my youngest wearing the same jumpsuit her older sister wore. It is a beautiful lemon colour and super cute.

So that is it from me for now. I hope you get to have a lovely holiday with plenty of time to scrap. xx

Guest Designer for Life in Details

I was so excited to be asked to be Guest Designer this month for Life in Details. I am so happy i found this blog as i plunge into the world of Smash booking and i am seriously contemplating Project Life. It is amazing how new fads keep popping up.

I really had so much fun creating this page of my daughters hand and foot prints. I kept pretty intricate details of their growth throughout the years, they are only little for awhile you know. I have alot of these tiny little feet from both my girls and as i contemplate a 3rd child it kept the cluckiness  away for a while. It was a bit hard though as i was in the process of moving too but i am happy with what i created, considering the lack of supplies at hand.

A closer view of each page.

So that is it from me for now. Take care xx

Scrap Africa Sketch 24 reveal!!!

Wow where is the year going??? Almost Chrissy and i am pretty much hitting the ground running. We have had such a big few weeks and it is only getting bigger. In a few weeks we are road tripping to Darwin to visit my wonderful family in the Northern Territory. So a very hot Christmas for us this year. I hope all your plans are falling into place.

So we start this month off with a sketch. It really is a lovely sketch,to see what our GD and our DT have created pop over ------->here. Who knows you may just be inspired to play along.

Here is my page i created of my oldest when she was 15 months old, i really cannot believe she will be 10 in a months time. Time seems to have rushed by. I used some wax crayon on my background, you gotta be quick because it dries really quick. As i melted it and it dripped i blew it with a straw outwards. It really is a fun technique i definitely will try again. I even enjoyed using a colour palette i wouldn't normally use.

So that is it from me for now, take care xx. I hope you do get a chance to play along with us.
