Oh happy Tuesday and goodbye July!

Good morning fellow bloggers i hope we are all keeping well! I am shocked at just how quickly July has gone! I honestly do not know where the time went! I had all these great plans to scrap but i only completed a few bits and pieces. I guess i have too many ideas and not enough hours in the day! I stayed up last night to complete my page for the sketch over at Scraptherapy! This is their first ever blog sketch challenge. Now i love their challenges but never seem to complete them on time and they have also became my go to gals for shopping! I guess getting the chance to win a $50 shopping voucher is also a major get your butt into gear incentive to actually complete their challenge! However putting this aside i actually had so much fun creating my page because i scrapped something i would not normally scrapbook, a spiderweb fully intact with its own spider! A few months ago we took the girls out hiking up Finch Hatton Gorge, we had so much fun and the girls surprised me by walking and not whinging all the way. Along our travels i found this spider and decided to photograph it the best i could without falling down into the gully! I have a secret little obsession for spiderwebs. They are so beautiful and unique! To create my page i used mostly Prima goodies with a splash of Kaisercraft and was trying to go for a minimalistic page. Once again i incorporated texture paste and my beloved Prima brick stencil!  So here is the sketch i used for inspiration...

Here is my page i created....

A few little close ups....

My last share today is my page i created using the Prima BAP which you can find here. I am loving their new style sketches. Here is this months sketch..

Primasketch

I used their Doodle-Deux range to do this page. Quite a simple page as well and i think the title says it all, this is true Amber style loving. Sorry for the slight blur to the photo it took me awhile to figure out why, little fingerprints on the lens....hmmm love my little darlings!

Okay so that is it from me! TFL! Until next time keep scrapping! Hugs!

Good Morning!

Hello everyone i am back again to share with you a page i did using a sketch from over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. I came across this blog a few months ago when the lovely Anne Pennington popped by my blog to leave some bloggy love! I have finally managed to find some time to play along this morning. I played with some texture paste once again, it may just be something you see for awhile until i get it out of my system lol. I smeared it over my page and using my bubble wrap i pressed it into my texture paste and then sprayed it with some Glimmermist. I used a photo of my youngest that i took at the start of the year. I love these photos of her so much.

So here is the sketch i used for inspiration...

Here is my page.... Instead of using three photos i cut one photo into three, much to the dismay of my daughter! I added a heap of Prima flowers and some Crate Paper embellies.

Okay so that is it for me! I am off to finish a few other pages, as well as a heap of housework i have to do.

I'm Back!!!

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend?  I know i did! I am managing to cram as much as i can these days in the 2 days we call a weekend, for it is too short as many of you will agree! We also tried a new restaurant today and sadly were a little let down. Eating out is something we try to do as often as we can and the girls thoroughly enjoy it! As the month is drawing to an end, they to are just flying by so quickly, i realise i have not even shared any of the pages i have completed for some of the challenges i wanted to enter :(  I still have a few pages that i have to finish tonight and tomorrow still as well  so fingers crossed i will get around to it and post them before the end of the month. Also on a rather happy note my page using Palette No# 120 over at The Color Room, which you can find here, was featured. So i would like to say a big THANK YOU to them as well i had fun creating my page! So one of the challenges i decided to do was a page using the sketch over at Sassy Scrapper here. I managed to use a few different techniques on this page and the few supplies i have received  recently have all tied in so nicely together. I  managed to use my Prima mask with texture paste and then sprayed glimmermist over the top which made it pop right of the page! I played with texture paste many years ago and loved it so much but unfortunately was unable to obtain any for awhile but the other day i managed to stumble across a supplier so i am stoked about that! I pulled out a few of my old stamps as well and stamped on some vellum ,as i had run out of acetate, i love the effect! Using a book page i also used my faithful Cuttlebug and the Sizzix alphabet die -Butterfly Kisses for part of my title, another thing i bought and have rarely used. So here is the page i created the other day.

Here is the sketch i used.....

I also managed to create a page using Case File No# 29 over at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration. Not quite sure how i feel about this. I love the colours but i feel it maybe a little plain. I scrapped about the top 10 things i love about my partner and tucked them all into a little pocket. For those who aren't familiar with CSI challenges you should pop over here and check it all out. Here is the case i used to create my page.........

Here is what i came up with....

Okay so that is it from me for now, TFL, and don't forget there is still time to enter this months White With 1 challenge which you can find here. Until next time keep scrapping!!

July Once Upon A......Sketch Challenge!

Another challenge done and dusted and i am so happy with the end result. I finished it all in one day and to think it started out with one piece of white cardstock. When i saw this months challenge at OUAS i instantly thought of my sisters, they have to be my friends right? They are also the few people that actually will always remain in my life. As the eldest of five i am blessed to have 2 little brothers and 2 little sisters! I feel so lucky now to have them in my life to joke around with, cry with and just simply annoy but had you have asked me when i was a teenager i would have told you otherwise! There is 12 years difference between me and the fourth one of us and 16 years between me and the youngest so we did not exactly grow up in the one house, when they were little i moved out and never looked back! As they grow though i keep in contact as much as i can and i am happy they have each other to confide in. They both are such lovely, intelligent and yes still annoying little sisters but they are my friends and i can be my true self around them as they can with me. For my journalling i decided to use a quote that i stumbled across here the other day while i was blog hopping around. It made me laugh and i just thought it was so appropriate for my page. It reads.."If you don't understand how a woman could both love her sister dearly and want to wring her neck at the same time, then you were probably an only child" - LINDA SUNSHINE. I added so many layers to my page by using Green Tara ribbon across my page, chook wire (again), book pages, string and i matted everything in black as best i could to name a few.  So here is the sketch i based my layout on.

This is what i came up with and a few little close ups.

TFL i am now off to pick my daughter up from school and hopefully i will be back soon. Until next time keep scrapping!

The Color Room and 123 Challenge!

Hello all i hope we are all feeling refreshed from the weekend? I had an overall productive weekend however weekends never seem to be long enough! I started a few pages over the weekend but have only fully finished the two. The first one was for The Color Room. I haven't had the oportunity to play along for a few weeks but couldn't resist this weeks palette. Plus i have an abundance of fantastic photos from over the school holidays to scrap which means i am flowing with creative juices and not to mention all the goodies i received both from America and from my local scrapbook lady has def created a scrapping monster! Haha like i need new products but i can't help buying!! Anyway using this weeks palette below i got a little messy and a little creative with what i wanted to stick on my page. Yes i have used chook wire!!! I also used some flower soft, masking tape, a page from a book (i had so much fun going to second hand stores to find some old books) and a heap of other bits and bobs! So here is my page...

This is this weeks palette that i tried to stick to....

I also managed to play along with the 123 Challenge this month. This months challenge was to use the word "MY", the colour "PURPLE" and to "USE CHEVRON". I managed to create my own little chevron pattern with masking tape and Glimmermist which was fun! Can't say chevron pattern is on my list of fav patterns but it was fun. Here is a snippet of how i did it because once the page is complete you cannot really see it but it is there!

Anyway that is it for me, TFL. Don't forget there is still time to play along over at WW1 here. Until next time keep scrapping! :)

Hello July and goodbye school holidays!

Hello everyone! It seems for a brief while i fell off the face of the planet but i have been so busy with everything i had not much time to do anything let alone blog and scrapbook. However this morning when i finally decided to pop on the computer i found that i was a winner over at Bird Is The Word. I would like to say thank you for choosing my page as one of the winners and congrats to the other ladies for winning too. I was also featured over at Sketchabilities for Sketch No# 73 so i am pretty stoked all round. Now to get my butt into gear to finish a few other challenges before this month disappears on me like June did. I started so many challenges last month and completed only a few and some i just forgot to upload. I must admit though i always love the school holidays it gives me a chance to spend some quality time with my girls. These school holidays were extra fantastic because my sisters came to visit as well. We did a little road tripping to Townsville to see our brother, went to River Sessions, witnessed a horrific car crash, went shopping, went to the movies, had some late nights, slumber parties and so much more. Who knew how much could be done in two weeks!! So another month means another White With 1 Challenge. This month we would like to see......

WHITE + POLKA DOTS + TAPE

* Any polka dot papers can be used there is no specific colour theme as we are using Polka Dots, you could also use masking, misting or paint to create your polka dots, Tapes, this can be Washi tape, fabric tapes, masking tapes, Tim Holtz tapes the list goes on...

*You have until 11.59pm July 31st to link your layout to this post, please when entering your details in the link tool, add your counrty after your name, for example: Melissa Heather AUS

So this is what i came up with this month.....

I actually used masking tape for my tape just for something different. I also used bubble wrap and paint to create more polka dots. Okay so that is it for me for the moment i am off to attempt to scrap something, anything! Don't forget to try our challenge over at WW1 here to have a chance at winning some vouchers from our three sponsers! TFL!!
