"Addicted 2 U" - OUAS page

Hello all!! Lovely weather we are having in Northern Queensland at the moment, lord knows we need it :) Just hoping it carries itself outwest a little more! Today i am popping in to share with you my page i created for the OUAS challenge this month. My page changed a million times but i just went with the flow and came out with something i am reasonably happy with. I originally planned to use the lyrics to the Black Eyed Peas song "Just Can't Get Enough" but then decided to add more. My partner and i have been on a very long and rough roller coaster of a ride over the years but here we are 13 odd years later going stronger than ever, enjoying silly times together. I even pulled out my sewing machine for this one too, lol! Circles again too, love circles so much.

So this months challenge is "Totally addicted to...." and of course you must use this sketch....

Here is my page.

Just a little close up!
TFL and have a great day :) I am off to make some RAKS to send off :)

Challenge #3 for Challenge Yourself

Hey everyone, i thought i would take a break from the housework and pop in and share the page i created for Challenge Yourself. It was a bit hard to start it off but it came together in the end. I tried so hard to get the palette right but not sure if i did, lol. Yes, i am still scrapping photos of our Christmas trip away. There were so many car selfies taken, what else do you do when you have nothing to look at for kilometres and kilometres lol!

So here is the inspiration, an awesome colour combo and the extra challenge of creating a layout about someone you love.

So that is it from me for now, enjoy the rest of your day :)

Scrapbook Creations February 2014 Inspiration Board creation.

Ok so i am back again with another post. I have been scrapping a storm lately the creative soul of mine wants to sit and create all day and not sleep. I have so many pages i want to share with you for various challenges but i only want to share each one with you in its own post. I think each page deserves its own piece of glory don't you?? So i thought i would share with you my page i created using the Scrapbook Creations Inspiration Board. Have you seen their blog and their new styled magazine i really am loving it :)

So my page i created, i thought i would take a fancy shot first, lol.

Of course a better view. I love this photo so so so very much. It is of my Nana and my Grandad in their hey day. My Grandfather passed when i was 5 and so i do not remember him :( and my Nana has been battling cancer for awhile now and no longer has hair :( but i love her to pieces!  My page took several hours and forever to dry but i had fun creating it.

Just sharing the inspiration Board, isn't it beautiful. The colours are really not normally ones i use but i loved the challenge :)

My first reveal for Life in Details!

Hello Lovelies!!! Welcome to another week! I have already hit the ground running this week. It all started this morning with me whipping up 2 dozen ham and cheese quiches for my girls lunches. i wanted them so they would be still nice and warm for them for morning tea. I have a million things to do this week before Uni commences on Monday. Clean the house, this is a biggy my darling returned back to day shift so i can vacuum all i want and wash and clean and bang and clang lol. Plus i got some serious scrapping to do lol!!

Anyway today i super excited to be posting my very first Smash book page as part of the Life in Details team. So without further adieu for the month of February the challenge is to use... pink and/or red as your dominant colour(s). This month the PL and the smash team are doing the same challenges but next month there will be two seperate challenges :) PL will be for the first fortnight and then Smash booking for the second :)

Enough ranting onto the sharing...to complete my challenge i chose mostly red which led me to think of Christmas. I decided to smash the chrissy just gone, which is a rarity on its own. Anyone who knows me knows i don't do Christmas pages. I think in 10 years of scrapping i have done about 5 Chrissy pages. I had a few good photos which i wanted to get all on the one page so i chose to do flippers and i even added this years Bon Bon wrapper at the back. i love smashing because i really don't think about anything when i do it, if it fits i stick. If not well it is stuck and i have to live with it lol!

So that is it from me. We would love you to show us your Smash book.

Scrap Africa challenge #26

Hello lovelies i hope your weekend is going well. It has been late nights and early mornings here in my household this weekend. While the household is still waking i thought i would duck into the computer room with my bowl of muesli and yoghurt and share with you this fortnights challenge at Scrap Africa.  It is "Chipboard with a Difference" and it means you need to use some chipboard on your layout, card or altered piece, but cannot be left raw and must be altered. This challenge is hosted by the lovely Ada Nicholls. We have some amazing Guest Designers and an awesome prize!
So to tell you about our prize, we have an amazing new sponsor this month.7 Dots Studio. So you really don't want to miss playing along with this challenge! ;-) Not to mention the DT has done another amazing.!!

So onto my page this fortnight. I had a lot of trouble actually finishing it as i have been a little bit under the weather this past week gone but seem to be on the mend now :) I hate feeling yuck it just ruins everything. Not to mention my mojo :( So with that said my page turned out a fairly simple page. I used my cricut to cut my circles and my favourite stamps from Kelly Panacci. My chipboard i cut up the swirl and swiped it with Tim Holtz "Picked Raspberry" and glued Microbeads all over it. But on a plus i love the photo and the memory. My daughter turned 10 while we were holidaying in Darwin this Christmas Holidays and she had a blast. We had a big family do for her and she loved it. Not to mention she adores her Aunty Chloe who went all out for her :)

So that is it from me for now, i hope you enjoy the rest of  your weekend :)

Valentine's Day 2014!!

Happy Valentine's Day lovelies!! Wherever you are i hope you feel the love!! Here in Oz we celebrated yesterday. My partner and i enjoyed a lovely and child free lunch together at a local cafe. It was bliss :)

I was fortunate enough for the kiddies to totter off to bed early and managed to scrap the night away as my partner went off to work, no rest for the wicked lol. I managed to get a few PL spreads done. But today i wanted to share my Valentine's Day page. I am really starting to find my way in the PL world. I am managing to find ways to create layers without the bulk. I even attempted to sew, i don't sew, on my PL spread but had complications hence all the balled up thread but isn't that the craze right now anyway??

Something that i am staying true to ATM is using my corner rounder on everything and edging in black. I just feel things aren't complete without the black. That is my thing at the moment. My new love is def PL and i even find myself searching for small embellies for my PL spreads. Yesterday after our lunch we popped into our local scrapbook store, isn't he sweet to come with me lol, and i bought a heap of things which are almost gone now just on this page lol. I even managed to print my journaling onto my card :) But you have to admit the highlight of y page is my daughters card at the bottom left. They had a scrap in the arv with me and made a heap more. I think PL is a good size for them too.

Anyway enough ranting from me. Enjoy your day and take care xx

Project Life Newbie!

I did it,i committed lol. So i went out and bought 2 albums, a heap of different sleeves and a pile of cards.

I dunno i feel a little lost but i guess i will find my way with it. Maybe because it isn't as embellished i am use to, flatter too. I probably won't do the every week thing just maybe major things and/or maybe every month in review. However it was alot quicker to put together, so great for those times when you want to get something together. So don't laugh but this is my first page and it was a double of the girls first day of school.

So that is it my first PL pages. TFL. I am now officially a scrapbooker, a Smash booker and a Project Lifer lol. Until next time keep scrapping and take care xx

Sketch Challenge #26 for Scrap Africa

Hello everyone, i hope you are having a lovely weekend. We are having a quiet one this weekend and getting over the rain that cyclone Dylan brought with it. But all is well now and I wanted to share with you my page for Scrap Africa.

I attempted to scrap this photo a long time ago and i failed then, something about the colours maybe i don't know it just did not work for me, lol. One good thing is i managed to get the memory down 5 years ago, so i ripped up the photo and began again(don't panic i didn't have much on it). I also am beginning to get back into the journalling side of things. It is lovely to reminisce of days gone by. My oldest was 5 in this photo, she just recently turned 10. My how time flies. Now for those who are wondering, who on Earth is Mariposa?? Well being a mother of two daughters of course they love all things Barbie and we collect Barbie movies. Mariposa is a character in one of these Barbie movies, she is a beautiful fairy. My eldest has always been a great role player, her imagination never ceases to amaze me :)

This is the sketch this fortnight. We would love you to have a go and show us what you come up with.
