I will scrap on...

Hello all!! I hope we are all keeping well?? I had a bit of a cull of my stuff the other week and sold some of my older stock which of course made way for me to buy some new stock. It is funny how our styles change, what i once thought was cute paper i now find horrible. I am consciously also making an effort to use some stuff i haven't even opened. I am definitely over stickers and rubons as over time they do not keep well. With everything going on I really am not sure what my style is anymore ( if i ever really had one in the first place, lol) but armed with my new stock i managed to sit and scrap the other day. The first page is still under construction. The second which i finished this morning took me a few days. I was inspired by the monthly sketch over at Scraptherapy and combined some Kaisercraft and a wee bit of Green Tara.

Here is this months sketch designed by Mandy Dodd. So pop over and check out what the ladies have come up with.

This is what i came up with.

So that is it from me for now, thanks to everyone for your lovely comments it means the world to me :) Until next time keep scrapping, take care!

Sometimes it isn't always Rainbows and Lollipops!!!!

Sometimes life just seems to get in the way. Those that are close to me know what has been going on lately and for those who don't i have been dealing with alot things which in turn have been affecting everything i am doing and what i am wanting to do..........but i hope there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I know i need to be strong especially for my girls. It is hard to not be negative about things though and i know everything happens for a reason. Hopefully i can try to scrap a little for some therapy but i really am having a blah moment. I even bought some scrapping supplies the other day but they haven't inspired me at all. Even Chrissy is looking a little blah and everyone loves Chrissy right???? Things can only get better right????
So with everything that is going on my term on the White With 1 CT is finishing this month so today I am sharing my last page. Thanks Mel for having me on your team. I have loved every challenge you have given us :) So here i go my last challenge and it is a nice fun one!!! This month's challenge is to use:

WHITE + GREEN(S) + CHEVRON PATTERN

I have used some lovely Green Tara ribbon and flowers, lots of paint and a Dusty Attic chippy.
Keep an eye out for the new CT, i can't wait to see their creations each month :)

October PPP

Good afternoon everyone where ever you are. I am back after a whole weekend of cleaning my scrap room.  I only managed to throw out one bag of rubbish. I found stuff that i forgot i had and have placed everything in a better spot so i can hopefully use it up and not forget about. I even had a read of some of my collection of old magazines and rotated them so i can read the ones at the bottom. It was enjoyable to read and see what was in style 8 years ago.

So with a fresh and clean room yesterday i sat and created. Now it is Halloween tomorrow, we in Australia don't celebrate it like in America although more and more people are catching on. I just love Halloween personally. I so badly wanted to create a Halloween style page so i found this photo of my youngest pretending to be a scary monster and using this months Prima Product Pick i made my page. I created my spiders web and pumpkins myself by experimenting with what i had on hand, trial and error but had alot of fun in doing so :) I pulled out my Cricut to cut out my scary trees and chopped up a few bits and pieces to create the vines of my pumpkins. I am so happy with the end result :) So here is my page, lots of rain here at the moment which is nice but not good for photographing but i have done my best :)

Here is this months PPP that i used, really love that black cat  :)

So thanks for stopping by i have one more day to finish all those pages i started for challenges, don't know if i will finish them or not. Next month is time to create all my Christmas decorations so i will do my best to post what i finish. Have a great day and keep scrapping :)

Just a few shares!

Wow good morning fellow bloggers :) I hope you are all well and are having a lovely start to your weekend! I have a big one planned this weekend with spring cleaning, lol. I thought i would quickly share a few pages i have created before i rip my scrap room apart. I have decided to change a few things around just for a change and also to try and encourage myself to use it up. I stayed up late sorting ribbon and adding them to rings to hang up because sitting in jars i don't see them. This is something i should have done a long time ago but i knew how time consuming it was and kept putting it off. Due to the limited room i have now and the storing facilities i have, silly me threw alot out when i moved because i thought i would never use it :( , I have to reorganise it. I now know why people hoard because you never know when you may need that something!!!!

Okay so enough rambling onto some sharing. I created a page using the sketch over at Scraptherapy. A great sketch and i was so inspired by the grungy feel to it. I decided to create a page from when my second daughter was born. I love stepping past the traditional soft and girly pages for newborns :) I used some lovely Green Tara flowers and ribbon. Ribbon i hear you say, well the polka dot flower with the gorgeous Websters embelly in the centre is actually ribbon i transformed into a flower. I also cut my title from my Cricut. So here is my page...

The sketch i used...

I also wanted to share a page i created using the Kaisercraft Butterfly kisses. Such a sweet range i can't wait to create more with it :) Anyone want to reorganise my room for me, lol.

Okay so i have procrastinated long enough i must go, enjoy your weekend :)

The Color Room!

What is the goss??? Well i have been scrapping a fair bit but on the homefront we had our first snake of the season too and let me tell you it probably won't be our last. Luckily it was a non-venomous one but my God still a snake! We also harvested our first Zucchinis. I love to make Zucchini slice and the only thing that makes it better is homegrown Zucchinis. I also baked a Caramel Slice. We all need a change once and a while from the norm and it keeps it interesting so i am always learning new things to cook and bake, can you believe i have never made a Caramel slice until the other day!

Anyways last week i mentioned the changes The Color Room has made. I did manage to create with this weeks palette and tried to draw inspiration from the photo as well. I did struggle in getting stuff on my page this week and ended up with a reasonably simple page but i am happy with the overall page. Here is this weeks palette...

Here is my page i created, sorry for the poor photo but it is a little overcast here today so i tried to enhance it on my computer.

Trying to stay focused and finish all my pages i start this year has been hard but only a few have slipped through the cracks. I get bored easily and if something doesn't work out i get a little cranky but i walk away and go and clean something, i know weird that cleaning actually gives me inner peace. So i am off to scrap some more and have a break, i have been in a P&C meeting all morning and you know how they can be some times!!!TFL!

Prima October BAP

Good evening all! I have had a relatively busy couple of days with last night helping at my daughters school with Science experiments and then after she got to have a sleep over. I was also persuaded to join the ladies in doing something called Jab Fitness, lol. Jab Fitness is a fitness regime with boxing incorporated into it, we will see how long it will last for!!!  We picked up our daughter the next day in which the excitement of the night before was short lived when we spent the morning trying to find our missing chicken, sadly it is no where to be found :( The kids are sad and i guess i kind of am too. My youngest keeps hoping it will just come back and it is hard explaining to her that it will not be coming back. So we went out for the day to take there mind off it and now they are watching Toy Story 2, so far we haven't had any questions in regards to the little chicken they so lovingly named Speckles. Tomorrow is a new day and i know in time(or persuasion of buying more chickens ;) )they will get over it.
Anyway so i just wanted to pop in and share my page i have created with this months Prima BAP. I used mostly the Romance Novel Collection.

Ok so as you can see i vaguely followed the sketch but i had so much fun creating it, all while watching that movie Along Came Polly.  Here is this months sketch.

The Color Room Palette # 132

So wow what i surprise this morning when i went to check out the new palette, The Color Room has a new home and a new blog. You definately have to check it out here and here. So before i go and create with this weeks palette i just wanted to share last weeks palette.  I managed to have a play yesterday and finished in time to catch the afternoon sun to photograph my page. Excuse the carpet in the background but i wanted to show my page edges which i have just randomly border punched around. I used 2 Crafty chipboard, Crate paper, Green Tara and some other bits and bobs. My background is actually a white cardstock covered in Texture Paste in which i then preceded to use a scrunched piece of paper to dab all over it giving it a rough texture.

Here is the palette i worked with....

Palette#132 {Sun Room}

Thanks for stopping by i hope you have a great weekend :) I hopefully will be back to share some more. I have got scrapping on my agenda this weekend and nothing is going to get in my way, lol!!!

CSI: Case File #40

Good Afternoon i hope you are all well! I thought i would pop in and share my page that i did over at CSI. I got Star Witness this week with it which was a huge surprise and honour. I just knew i wanted to create with the palette as soon as i saw it. It is such a bright happy palette and the testimony spoke to me as well, all perfect for a birthday page! I wanted my journaling to be the main focus as well as the photo so i kept the embellies to a minimum, which was very hard for me.
The evidence i have chosen to use is scallops(i have a small scalloped border sticker running up the side of the pattern paper), circular elements(i pressed some rolls in paint and stamped them around, doodled some circles and texture pasted some as well), i placed a banner under the flower and used some number 8's over the page.
The testimony i used was inspired from the birthday prompts, where i had to write a story about throwing a birthday party for someone. I chose my daughters 8th birthday, my journaling reads: "Everybody loves birthdays. It is the one day where it is all about you. You get spoilt by the ones you love. Every year my girls start out the day with breakfast of their choice and a brand new party dress. The day is theirs and theirs alone. My eldest celebrates her birthday during the school holidays which unfortunately at times has been hard to have a big shindig, which is a shame because she loves to have a heap of friends over. I however have always gone over the top with the cake, i am a little ambitious at times, searched high and low for the perfect presents and of course hunted for that beautiful dress. I love the looks on my girls' faces especially when they don't expect it and i love their grateful and appreciative hugs and kisses. Let me tell you it gets harder and harder to outdo "the best day ever" every year. But this year was a little different we had only just moved back to my hometown where alot of our family live so my eldest got to have two parties, kind of a birthday week. Having two cakes, blowing the candles out twice, cutting the cake twice, receiving pressies twice and to top it off being surrounded by a great big heap of family full of fun and happy times, Dakotah was an extremely happy little 8 year old girl."
So here is the case file i used.....

Here is the page i came up with....

That is it from me for now, i will be back over the next week to share a heap of pages i have been working on. Enjoy the rest of your day :)

The Color Room

Good morning all i hope your weekend is treating you well. I am just quickly popping in this morning to share my page that i created using The Color Rooms' palette #131. It is also featured this week so i would like to thank them for featuring my page as well :) I really have taken a fancy to creating with these lovely palettes as they always challenge me into trying new colour combos and offer a sketch as well. So without further adieu here is my page.

I created my page by flicking my page with paint, i used Kaisercraft Olive and Making Memories Poppy. When i flick paint i like to squeeze some in my hand and then flick my fingers, it gives a better splatting effect i feel but can make a mess so i head outside for it. Hands are lovely tools to use during art and i use them alot more than a paint brush. I then mixed some Kaisercraft Orange with texture paste and scrapped it through my Prima mask, once dry i scrapped plain texture paste through over the top. To give some more texture i preceded to wrap my page up with twine. Using my Cricut i cut the vines out and doodled on them. I used mostly paper from the Kaisercraft Save the Date paper pad, and embellies from Green Tara and Prima.

Here is the palette i used to create my page.

 Palette #131 {His Room} due Oct 12

I also was featured over at Prima for my page i did using their September PPP. Congrats to the winners and to everyone else who was featured. Prima is one of my fav brands to scrap with, i hope i get a chance to play along this month. So that is it from me for now. I do have a heap of pages i want to share with you but i will save it for another day. Thanks for dropping by :) I hope you all get some creating done :)

Just popping in!!

Hello lovelies just popping in to say hi. I have been busy, busy, busy and haven't had much time to scrap but after i am finished here i plan to get some scrapping done. We are still getting over the week that was. I have been working on a gift for my sister in laws' engagement party on the weekend which took up alot of my time because i wanted it to be absolutely perfect and in between that my baby turned a big five so i was juggling cake baking and party planning as well. Then throw in entertaining my littlest brother, not much you can do with a twenty year old who is always BORED!! Then back to school which we all took hard because the holidays were so much fun and we all got some much needed R&R that we didn't want to end. Pretty sure we are all secretly counting down the days to the Xmas holidays, lol.

Okay so here is my canvas i made for my sister in law and her delightful fiance'. The night was fun and my girls danced and danced and then sat in the photo booth for most of the night taking photos. I added lots and lots of layers of paints, texture paste, stamping, mists and inks before using my Cricut to cut out all the vines.

Just a few close ups. I used Green Tara and Prima flowers mostly.

Onto my birthday girl. We created a castle for her. We had lots of fun icing it and it was quite a delicious Butter Cake made from scratch because packet mix cakes tend to crumble too much, especially when sculpting cakes. She had a ball at the Harbour with her Cousins, Aunties, Uncles, Grandparents and even Great Grandparents. She was one spoilt little girl too. HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY my baby girl!!!!

Okay so that is it from me for now! TFL!!! I will be back hopefully to share my creations over the next few days. I have a super clean room waiting for me to mess up, lol. Have a great rest of your day :)

WW1 October Challenge!

Good morning all, i hope you have been well and not too busy to find some time to create. I seriously cannot believe it is October already. The year is just flying by and it has been one thing after another here in our neck of the woods. October is a special month for us because it is my youngests birthday. I cannot believe my baby will be five. WOW!  So much has been going on lately i have not been home for the past week and i am having withdrawals from scrapbooking and have been scrambling to get through the neglected housework. I have had one of my brothers down for a visit which has been great. I love how my siblings and i have a great bond that nobody can come between. We all rather look the same, talk the same and act the same. I also love that my kids love all of them the same and they all love them too. Makes me happy :)

On a happy little note our little baby chickens are doing great, we managed to get 3 and the girls adore them all. They really are so cute and fluffy. So our little farm now stands at 1 dog, 2 Ducks, 5 Chickens, 1 Fish and 1 Cockatiel.

So anyways onto business. Another month means a new challenge over at WW1. The CT have created some beauties which you should check out. This months challenge is....drumroll....

WHITE + YELLOW + STARS

Just a few little close ups :)

After doing this i think i actually may like yellow :) I guess we all have our fav colours we scrap with but stepping out of our comfort zones can be quite rewarding. I managed to pull out my scraps for this and just cut out a heap of stars using my star stencil and my trusty scissors, i then like to distress the edges just to help conceal any not too straight edges :) I sprayed some Lemon Zest Dylusions Ink Spray, that stuff is truly awesome, and let it run out from the page on every side. I used the baby wipe on my page that i wiped up the excess with as well just for extra texture. I used an old chipboard alpha frame to scrape texture paste through, then the rest is history.

When i created this page i was thinking about how we all evolve as scrappers. I know people who said they would never enter the world of online scrapping, create a blog, add non conventional scrapping items on a page and you get the gist. Now all i see them doing are those things they said they would not do. I know i am guilty, i once said i would never ever put banners on my page but am now totally addicted to them. What have you said you would never do? Have you tried it? Did you like the result?

Okay i am off now, if you get a chance to scrap why not give the WW1 challenge a go, We would love to see what you create. TFL!

CSI/OUAS September Challenge # 3

Okay so for those of you who still don't know for the month of September CSI and OAUS have teamed up to create 4 challenges for the month. I finally found some time to squeeze in case no. 38 today.I really struggled with this case for some reason. I vaguely worked with the sketch and tried my best to keep with the palette. I was experimenting with a few things today and it just didn't work out as well as i thought it would but i pushed forward and finished it anyway. I think maybe the topic i was scrapping about as it is the first time i have really wrote about it. I guess we are all allowed a dud page every now and then????

The evidence i used to crack the case was branches, flowers, misting and woodgrain. For my testimony i used some of the inspiration words. I wanted this page to be about my everyday bond with my family which has grown stronger over the past year. The journaling, which is on a tag behind the photo reads, "Over the past year this family has endured a lot. My daughters have had to be a rock for me which has been extremely hard for me to come to terms with but i feel they have grown from it. At times they have had to call the Ambulance for me and had to let them in, all the while keeping an eye on their mother. They have been there with me in hospital unsure of what has happened and being kids who have seldom left my side it was hard for them to leave me in hospital for days at a time and even harder to have a mother who at times could not do things she normally would have done . This little family has endured hospital visit after hospital visit and copious amounts of doctors' visits and tests. After a while the novelty of seeing an Ambulance wore off. Although physically i endured it all they emotionally came along for the ride as well. It became a daily occurance that i was sick and together we dealt with it and i had to rely on everyone else to get through, one of the hardest things i have ever done. Together we have grown stronger and closer than ever before. I think we all thought there was going to be no end in sight. Although i am still not 100% i am better than i was a year ago. I have a new lease on life and i pray it only gets better from here on in." Here is my page and the case.

TFL! Hope you find some time to scrap i am off to start dinner and organise everything for tonight, it is movie night tonight :) Lots of chilling out, popcorn and hopefully a late night!!!

Happy Monday!!!

Well it seems like an eternity since i was on here!! Firstly i would love to say thank you to all those who have left me lovely comments it really does make my day and i thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Okay so what has been happening in my neck of the woods??? We will not be getting any ducklings this year as she kept knocking them out of her nest and the male also kept trying to get to her ,we think, and has also knocked a few out..... but on a happy note fingers crossed our chickens will hatch next week. We did have to help one into this world prematurely and i pray he/she survives. Due to the duck not having any eggs we decided to segregate her from the clucky chooks but she kept ramraiding the barricade and pushed one of the chickens eggs out and cracked the egg but he/she came out chirping and no egg sac attached so we think it will survive. Fingers crossed because we need some more layers. We actually brought these back from our weekend trip and i learnt something new, an egg can be fertilised and kept at room temp until you are ready to put it under a chicken and they will still incubate!!! Our puppy is doing well and he had his first visit to the vet last week and i have been cooking my own dog food as well!! Who knew that i was still a farm girl at heart, lol. I think this has been the best move i have ever made i cannot see myself ever moving back into the big smoke!! Although i may just make an appearance or two just to pop in and visit my local scrapbook store every now and then! I tell you i feared all the stores were closed down in Mackay but i found one and can you believe she has been there for 28 years!!!! I mean she does other stuff not just scrapbooking but it is one of those shops that just gives you warm fuzzys. Why i had not found her sooner i do not know but i am happy i have!!!

Okay so i think i have done enough chit chat time to share what i have been doing. I have been scrapping alot but today i wanted to share a page i did for the September Prima Product Pick. I really love working with Prima. So you can either work with the products and/or the palette. Hers is this months PPP...

Septemberppp

Here is my page, a little warped from all the misting and other mediums i have used. I do not generally work well with such masculine palettes but i love how it turned out in the end.

So i am off to scrap some more and hopefully i will be back sooner rather than later. TFL!

TGIF!!!

Hello all, well here we are at the end of the week and the start of the school holidays!! I don't know who loves them more me or my daughter. I always enjoy the lazy mornings the most and i think she just loves being at home because she always feel s she is missing out. Anyway for the month of September OAUS and CSI have teamed up together to create their challenges. Here is this weeks case and sketch.

I originally started out with a red piece of cardstock but using my Jo Sonja's Crackle i gave it a good coat. Now i learnt a few things here....it is recommended to apply your top coat of paint within 6 hours of the crackle coat drying and i unfortunately forgot about it and woke up the next day and did it. It did still crackle but not as well as i would have liked but waste not want not i still used it. The other thing i learnt was to pick the colours wisely because the red has bled through to the white coat causing almost pink patches but luckily i grabbed my black Staz On ink and rubbed it all over my page helping to pick up the crackle effect and hide some of those pinkish blobby patches. The next step i flicked some glimmermist and added some alcohol ink. I really had fun creating this and trying to make it suit my sisters personality!! I turned the sketch on its side, i hope you can see that. Now to crack the case the evidence i have used is packaging ( here i have sewn an old kaisercraft rubon packet to create a pocket for my journaling i have found these to be awesome to use for memorabilia pockets as well. I have also used an old Bandaid box and some meshy stuff my girls cheese came in.), doodling( i doodled around my circles and also used a pre- doodled Rusty Pickle paper), lastly i used circles. For my testimony i used a song title, YOUNG HEARTS RUN FREE originally sung by Candi Staton but i know the Romeo and Juliet version by Kym Mazelle. This inspired me to write to my sister because i am always telling her to be young, be free. My journaling reads " Sometimes in a world where everyone is trying to make something of themselves you need to take a step back and find out what you want. Try to not be compromised by others. It can be so hard to be yourself and discover who you are and who you want to be when so many are telling you what you are doing is wrong. I love how you do what you want to do, regardless of what others think. I still remember the day you told me you got your nose pierced and told me it cost you $65. Thinking you had a small stud in the side of your nose like mine i was a bit taken aback by the pricing.. and then you sent me the photo. Your nieces thought it was funny and it took me a bit to get use to but now i couldn't see you without it. I wish you all the best in your future but for now be free, enjoy your youth and do those spontaneous crazy things teenagers do! Live a life without regrets! Ultimately you have to live with your decisions for the rest of your life and nobody has any right to tell you what you are doing is wrong. I love you with all my heart and soul, mwah your big sister!!"

Just a little close up to see the journaling in the sewn on pocket and a few of the other layers.

So TFL!!! I just wanted to thank everyone for their comments as well. It really does make my day hearing what you think of my pages and i do try to get to your blogs as well!! Hope you find some time to scrap on the weekend. Have a great day :)

"Cherish"

Hello i just wanted to pop by today and share with you the page i created with this weeks palette over at The Color Room. I continue finding myself being pushed to the limits sometimes with these palettes because of the colours used in them. I pretty much tend to say every week how much trouble i have with the palettes mostly because they are colours i would generally never use and they take me way out of my comfort zones, which is what they are meant to do, but i am glad because now my albums will have more pages that just aren't pinks and purples :p I actually am devising a little plan of action these days to overcome the challenge and to use up my scraps, as well as push me a little further than what i would normally go. I start by printing out the weeks palette and then forage through my stash to find items that go with the weeks chosen colours, regardless of whether they end up making it on my page or not. Think of it as making myself up a kit. Then i will chose a photo that will go and which ultimately will decide which embellishments will go and which will stay.  This week i decided to cut off the scallop border of a Making Memories die cut paper that has been in my stash for a long time and i used a pizza box that was on my desk for the background. My background actually was meant to be different but it didn't look right so in the end i scraped it over with some texture paste and flicked some Glimmermist on then ran my chalks over it as well. I must admit this is the first time i have pulled out my chalks in a long time so it was good to continue the use it up approach!! I decided to scrap a photo of one of my sisters and i. I just wanted to create a page about our sisterly bond and how much i do love her and although we are quite similar she is has her own wonderful uniqueness that i wouldn't change for all the tea in China!!!

This weeks palette.....

Okay so that is it from me for now I am off to enjoy the rest of my day!! TFL!

Kraft It Up September Challenge!!

Just a quick post today to say hi and share my page i did last night. It has been awhile since i last played along at Kraft It Up. When i saw this months challenge i just wanted to give it a go mainly because the colour scheme just screams boy and since i don't have boys i wanted a challenge. It was a great opportunity to scrap those non-girly photos i have and use some of those boyish papers i continue to buy. I used scraps that i have had in my stash for a few years. I wanted to create a grungy style outdoors kind of page. I had originally matted both photos together but i just couldn't make it work and decided to rip it in half in the end. Lots of paint splattering, misting and distressing. I love how my girls can be so girly-girl and yet can be the biggest Tomboys. Thanks for the challenge KIU!!

Here is this months challenge.

CSI Case # 35 and #36

I have only just finished this weeks case for over at CSI and realised i also hadn't shared last weeks case over here either. I am still using up those buttons i got in a kit i bought last month. I haven't even made a dent in it and i have been using so many. I really enjoyed this case and had so much fun creating it. Inspired from the randomness of the testimony it turned out quite random.

Just for something special as well CSI is teaming up with OUAS so you get a sketch to go along with the case as well. I really loved this weeks case although it is definitely not a palette i would use on a day to day basis. I used Prima, some Green Tara and a few other bits and bobs. I used my chook wire chipboard  from 2 Crafty and stippled paint on my page. I then cut it up and added it around my page. The evidence i used were letters as embellishments, leaves, misting, and i tried to scatter elements across the page. For my testimony i chose to journal in the form of a letter which i placed on a tag tucked under in the bottom right hand corner. My journaling reads..."To my dear baby girl, this is it our last year hanging out before you start school. I am going to miss having you around all day! I am going to miss our lunch dates, craft time with you and all the other stuff we get to do. But the thing i am going to miss the most is my little baby. You are growing up way to fast! But i am proud of who you are becoming and i know you will have so much! <3 Mummy"

Hope you have a great rest of the day :) TFL!

Happy Thursday!!!

Hi guys hope everyone is doing fine and scrapping lots! Just popping by today to share a few pages that i have done with the last two palettes over at The Color Room. I haven't been around as much as i would like to lately but we have been trying to get out of the house most weekends so that means no scrapping :(  and during the week is just one thing after another trying to juggle kids, housework, study, and looking after pets. Speaking of which fingers crossed over the next few weeks we will have some new baby chickens and ducklings. Plus our puppy is really a handful at times!! I just want to share a few photos i took this weekend when we went camping. In 30 years i have watched the sun come up a few times but for some reason this time it was magical. We really did have a wonderful 4 days camping getting back to nature, it is something everyone needs to do i think. Even someone as OCD like me really just kicked back and let go. The last photo is my fav because i have the silhouette of my girls in it. ENJOY!!!

So onto the sharing now! Palette #126 was a palette that screamed "SWEET" to me. I found a photo of my daughter when she was about 4, she was standing there with something in her mouth beside someone else. I thought she looked "SWEET" so i scanned and cropped the photo to just her and printed it in black and white. Flying true to form i have created a page where i have chosen to stick before i think. I didn't know how this page was going to turn out but i just kept adding until i was happy with the end result. I love the colour scheme. I have used something similar once or twice in the past. I have made this page using mostly scraps and bits and pieces i have on my desk. I started out with my background paper i then scrumpled it and added Glimmermist and wiped this over the page with a baby wipe filling in the exposed white bits. I then preceded to stick the word sweet all over my page using up old alphabets i even dyed some of the flowers so they were pink. The lavender i have stuck on my page is something i had only just purchased from a cheap store recently and thought they would look great.

Next is this weeks palette. It really was a tricky one. I was going through all my stash looking and then i found my black/white chevron tape. I layered this all over a piece of white background. I cropped the photo down to cut some horrible background out and then just preceded to layer and add and expand. At one stage it was looking like i was going to have another page with alot of white space but i just kept adding and adding. I am still using those buttons up and can you believe i haven't even put a dent in the packet, lol. I get a little OCD when placing my buttons and they have to all face the same way and i can't seem to break this habit. I opted not to sew them this time because of the few i have used that don't have holes. The photo is only 4 out of the 5 of us. Unfortunately there is always one of us missing because we are all scattered over Australia. I do miss my siblings but we are only just a phone call away and despite the age gaps between us we are all quite close.

WW1 September Challenge is up!

Ok so my little weekend trip away has me running behind schedule. So without any more delay i thought i would share my CT page for WW1 for the month of September. The challenge for September is...............

WHITE + ORANGE + BLACK

I had so much fun with this which surprised me because it was using orange! I started my page with the paint swirls and alcohol ink splats. I also had a few book page flowers i had made the other month and just gave them a good soaking in Glimmermist before using them on my page. After that the page just came together quite quickly and has quite a lot of layers to it. Who knew orange could be so pretty!

To check out what the other CT members have done and to meet this months Guest Designer pop over here. Hope to see your layouts! TFL! Until next time keep scrapping! :)
