The Color Room Palette # 109

Good Afternoon fellow bloggers today i want to share the page i created with The Color Room palette #109. I have been working on this for a few days and when you see it you may wonder why! These are not colours i use on a regular basis and they really did stump me. It has also opened my eyes up to something i have been aware of for awhile but it is becoming more apparent as time goes on, especially the more challenges i do. When i first began scrapping 8 years ago it was for my daughter. Having a girl i pretty much only bought pink, pink, and more pink! Occasionally i may have bought some purple. Everything was girly. As time elapsed i had another daughter so of course my girly obsession got worse. Now i find it hard to rummage up certain colours for challenges. I have changed how i shop now days and because my girls are not always in pretty pink dresses and acting so lady like i do find myself buying something blue from time to time. This page i created had a mind of its own. I started to sand the edges actually (it is a piece of Core'dinations from the white wash collection) but it looked blah so then i had the thought to cut the centre out and sew it back together! That is how it sat for a day and my partner would come by and laugh and go "Is that all you have? You have been sitting there for hours!" i had the dress form sitting there on my desk because i was going to use it on my page that i did for OUAS but decided not to. I did not have alot of blue flowers so i used  Alcohol ink (stonewashed) to dye them as well as the chipboard and the pearl swirls. The photo i used was one of my eldest when she was four. It was taken by Katrina Elliott, a local photographer in Gladstone. I am still looking for a good one here in Mackay but none have caught my eye, some are into taking weird angle photos. I just want a normal photo of my family!  If you want to see where i got my inspiration from pop on over to The Color Room they provide a great palette and even a sketch to help if you like. So enough said time to share.

Thanks for dropping by and until next time keep scrapping!
