July Once Upon A......Sketch Challenge!

Another challenge done and dusted and i am so happy with the end result. I finished it all in one day and to think it started out with one piece of white cardstock. When i saw this months challenge at OUAS i instantly thought of my sisters, they have to be my friends right? They are also the few people that actually will always remain in my life. As the eldest of five i am blessed to have 2 little brothers and 2 little sisters! I feel so lucky now to have them in my life to joke around with, cry with and just simply annoy but had you have asked me when i was a teenager i would have told you otherwise! There is 12 years difference between me and the fourth one of us and 16 years between me and the youngest so we did not exactly grow up in the one house, when they were little i moved out and never looked back! As they grow though i keep in contact as much as i can and i am happy they have each other to confide in. They both are such lovely, intelligent and yes still annoying little sisters but they are my friends and i can be my true self around them as they can with me. For my journalling i decided to use a quote that i stumbled across here the other day while i was blog hopping around. It made me laugh and i just thought it was so appropriate for my page. It reads.."If you don't understand how a woman could both love her sister dearly and want to wring her neck at the same time, then you were probably an only child" - LINDA SUNSHINE. I added so many layers to my page by using Green Tara ribbon across my page, chook wire (again), book pages, string and i matted everything in black as best i could to name a few.  So here is the sketch i based my layout on.

This is what i came up with and a few little close ups.

TFL i am now off to pick my daughter up from school and hopefully i will be back soon. Until next time keep scrapping!

What a great take on the sketch! I really like how you did that background & just your overall interpretation of the challenge...how wonderful to read that even though there's such an age difference b/w you & your sisters--they're still your close friends...love it! Thanks for playing along with us at OUAS!

Hi ya! this is really such a neat take on the sketch B-J! love how it turned out with that striking meshy/lacey thing you have in the background, everything just pops beautifully against it. Thanks a bunch for sharing your page with us at OUAS!
